Bluebottles

"And besides, it was a public park.

I wasn't about to be scared off

by a group of children."

Someone returns an engagement ring.  Someone is frightened of clowns.  Someone needs the alarm code.  Someone microwaves a meal for one.  Someone lays eggshells in the garden. Someone knows a good doctor.  Someone is having a party.  Someone is missing.   Someone is starting to forget things.  Someone was at the parade. Someone is always picked last.

Bluebottles is a play about the hidden fears and anxieties that shape our lives.  It was developed with the students at McDonald College and is based on interviews with them and exercises in class as well as their own improvisations.
